The design and engineering of Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) refit projects on commercial vessels and large yachts.
Ensuring efficient compliance with the requirements of the Ballast Water Management Convention required careful engineering detail and a good degree of regulatory know-how when retrofitting on existing vessels.

Multiple projects were successfully carried out by NAS to design and engineer the retrofit of Ballast Water Treatment systems on commercial vessels. A feasibility study is initially carried out to evaluate the case study vessel and outline the various arrangement solutions.
This is then followed by an engineering study where all the pipe routing is done in 3D to ensure that there are no clashes with the structure and other systems. NAS also develops and produces the necessary drawings required by class as well as the manufacturing drawings required for installation including isomterics and P&ID drawings.
